A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

Does the Spirit of God subdue the fleshly tendencies of your heart to the point that you are now an obedient child of God?

In this age of "in your face" type of rebellion and disobedience towards God and His word, do you humbly submit to God's precepts?

Do you really believe that someone who spends life on earth disobeying God's word could enter in His presence and gain eternal life through His Son?

DAY # 209

TODAY’S REQUEST:

TO BE OBEDIENT CHILDREN OF OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN

Exodus 24:7 Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, "All that the LORD has said we will do, and be obedient."
2 Corinthians 2:9 For to this end I also wrote, that I might put you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things.
Titus 2: 1-5 But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine: 2 that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience; 3 the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things–– 4 that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.
Titus 2: 9 Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back, 10 not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.
1 Peter 1:14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance;

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

BEING CHILDREN OF OBEDIENCE

John 1:8-13 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Philippians 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
Philippians 2: 14 Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
1 John 3:1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
