A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

What has been troubling your heart lately; finances, health, a child, or the lack of faithfulness in your walk with God?

Are you anxious and is your heart troubled about the future to the point that you seek information from fortunetellers, horoscopes, and other such demonic sources?

On what foundation do you place your future, your hope for tomorrow, and your eternal destination?

DAY # 207

TODAY’S REQUEST:

FOR COMFORT IN CHRIST, OUR LORD SAID:

“LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED”

Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward."
Exodus 14:13 And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.
Mark 13:7 "But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.
John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 28 "You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I. 29 "And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe.

HOW DO WE EXPRESS IT THROUGH THE SCRIPTURES?

GLORIFYING THE FATHER BY PLACING OUR FAITH IN THE SON

2 Chronicles 20:15 And he said, "Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the LORD to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’"
John 14:1 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
Luke 8:50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, "Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well."
1 Peter 3: 12-17 For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil." 13 And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. "And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled." 15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. 17 For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
