A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

Is your heart filled with the truth, and is it expressed through your lips?

Do you lie and deceive in order to keep a good reputation before men even though it ruins your relationship with God?

Has the Lord change your heart so you can now be sincere and trustworthy in all and with all?

DAY # 200

TODAY’S REQUEST:

TO BE SINCERE, TRUSTWORTHY - NOT LIARS AND DECEIVERS

Jeremiah 9:2-5 Oh, that I had in the wilderness A lodging place for travelers; That I might leave my people, And go from them! For they are all adulterers, An assembly of treacherous men. 3 "And like their bow they have bent their tongues for lies. They are not valiant for the truth on the earth. For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me," says the LORD. 4 "Everyone take heed to his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; For every brother will utterly supplant, And every neighbor will walk with slanderers. 5 Everyone will deceive his neighbor, And will not speak the truth; They have taught their tongue to speak lies; They weary themselves to commit iniquity.
John 8: 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
Romans 1:24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
Romans 2: 5-8 But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who "will render to each one according to his deeds": 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; 8 but to those who are self–seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness––indignation and wrath,

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

HIDING NOTHING BUT THE WORD OF GOD IN OUR HEARTS

John 3:19-21 "And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 "For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 "But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God."
Psalms 120:2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips And from a deceitful tongue.
Psalms 15:1 LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? 2 He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart;
Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also wisdom and instruction and understanding.
Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, But those who deal truthfully are His delight.
