A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

Do you have a zeal for God, and is it in accordance with the truth of the Gospel of Christ?

Are you working to establish your own righteousness, ignoring and rejecting the perfect work of Christ Jesus, the Righteous?

Are you living a victorious life over sin because the righteousness of Christ has been revealed in your heart?

DAY # 160

TODAY’S REQUEST:

LIVING TO PLEASE GOD:

FOR IN THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST IS THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD REVEALED FROM FAITH TO FAITH

Romans 1: 14-17 I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise. 15 So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also. 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
Romans 3: 19-27 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. 27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith.

HOW DO WE EXPRESS IT THROUGH THE SCRIPTURES?

HAVING BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS

Romans 4:13 For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
Romans 10:1-4 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. 2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
James 1:20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?
