A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

What is your hope, is it riches, happiness, comfort, and pleasures on earth?

Does your hope for eternal life stand on the only one who resurrected from the dead?

Does your hope produce joy in your heart and steadfastness in your walk?

DAY # 151

TODAY’S REQUEST:

GIVING THANKS TO GOD:

FOR THE LORD IS OUR HOPE

Hebrews 10:19-25 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Psalms 71:5 For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth.
Jeremiah 17:7 "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD.
1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1 Peter 1:13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

DRAWING NEAR OUR LORD WITH A TRUE HEART IN FULL ASSURANCE OF FAITH

Titus 2: 11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
1 Peter 3:15-17 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. 17 For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
